Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the EquJobs platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms form a binding agreement between you and EquJobs. We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of material changes by email.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use EquJobs. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and truthful. EquJobs is intended for individuals and organisations involved in the equestrian industry, including but not limited to: professional riders, trainers, grooms, stable managers, yard owners, riding schools, breeding operations, equine vets, equine therapists, competition organisers, and equestrian businesses.

Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• You must not share your account with others or allow unauthorised access
• You must notify us immediately at security@equjobs.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You may only maintain one account per person or organisation

Acceptable Use

You agree to use EquJobs only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information about yourself or your organisation
• Impersonate another person, professional, or equestrian organisation
• Use the platform to harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
• Post job listings for positions that do not exist or that you have no authority to fill
• Collect or scrape user data without consent
• Send unsolicited commercial messages (spam) to other users
• Use the platform to promote content unrelated to equestrian professional activity
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or interfere with the platform's security
• Create accounts for automated bots or artificial intelligence systems without our written permission

Professional Profiles

EquJobs profiles are intended to represent genuine professional identity within the equestrian industry. You agree that: The information in your profile, including disciplines, experience, references, and credentials, is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. Submitting false references, fabricated certifications, or misrepresented experience is grounds for immediate account termination. We reserve the right to verify credentials and experience through third parties, and to remove or flag profiles that contain inaccurate or misleading information.

Job Postings

Organisations posting job listings on EquJobs agree that: All posted roles are genuine and currently available. Job descriptions accurately reflect the responsibilities, compensation, and working conditions. Any accommodation provided as part of the role is described honestly. Listings comply with applicable employment law in the jurisdiction where the role is based. We reserve the right to remove listings that violate these terms or that receive credible reports of misrepresentation.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, trademarks, and brand assets on the EquJobs platform are owned by EquJobs or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express written permission. You retain ownership of the content you submit to your profile (text, photos, documents). By submitting content, you grant EquJobs a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that content within the platform for the purpose of operating the service.

Privacy

Your use of EquJobs is subject to our Privacy Policy, available at equjobs.com/privacy. By using the platform, you consent to our collection and use of data as described in that policy.

Payments & Subscriptions

Creating a profile and using the core platform is currently free. Where paid features or subscriptions are introduced, they will be governed by separate terms presented at the point of purchase. All prices are displayed in the applicable currency and inclusive of applicable taxes where required by law. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Termination

You may close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if: You violate these terms, applicable law, or our community standards. We have reason to believe your account presents a risk of harm to other users or the platform. We are required to do so by law or legal process. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ends immediately. We will handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of Liability

EquJobs provides the platform on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. We are not liable for: the accuracy of user-submitted content (profiles, job listings, references); the outcome of any employment or contractual relationship made through the platform; any loss of revenue, opportunity, or data; any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the platform shall not exceed the greater of £100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country requires otherwise.
